-The blade of the sword has been hand forged and quenched using diferential hardening, in the same methods as traditional Japanese sword.
-The blade surface is made up of 1095 Steel folded forging 12 times, generating 4096 the layers in the steel, the core of the blade is made of forged steel AISI T-10 Steel, and Mune Shintetsu blacksmithing Honsanmai blade
-The AISI T-10 high Carbon Steel (The steel has a 0.1% Carbon content and 0.4% Manganese. It is extremely hard -58 HRC- making a very sharp edge). This blade is clay tempered and quenched, then polished and sharpened by 14 different process.
-The hamon pattern is done by differential hardening with clay temper. The hardening process is made by utilizing a special clay on the edge, so it gets a different temperature and cools in different time than the rest of the blade, becoming harder and quenching the blade when it is cooled on water. Shintetsu is to prevent the blade is not easy to snap in slammed into process.
Tsuba: The Tsuba (guard) of the sword is made of Made Of High quanlity copper. The Habaki (blade collar) is a one piece brass construction. Two Seppas (spacer) secure the Tsuba.
Tsuka: The Tsuka (handle) core is wooden and it is tightly wrapped over genuine Ray skin (Samegawa) with silk Ito.The Tang of the sword is secured by two Mekugi (peg) . you can unassembled the blade from the handle by taking out 2 pegs. Two Menuki (ornament) are on each side of the Tsuka.
Saya: The saya (sheath) made of hard wood black lacquer be shine. top quality silk sageo also rolled both side of kurikata to match sword’s tsuka-ito. Koiguchi / Kurikata / Kojiri is Black Ox Horn
